# I Was Paying for Three AI Subscriptions. One subscription for chat. Another for image generation. A third for voice. Maybe a fourth for document analysis. Each one is “only” $10–$20 a month, and then you check your card statement and you’re paying more for AI than for electricity. I hit that wall a few months ago while building content for a YouTube channel. I needed scripts, thumbnails, voiceovers, and I needed to analyze research documents. Four different tabs. Here the model already had the script context, so the prompts were shorter and the results matched the tone on the first try more often. **Voice generation.** Text-to-speech in the same place. For anyone producing narrated video, this alone removes a monthly subscription from the stack. I used it to narrate a 12-minute animated explainer. Before this, my voiceover ran through ElevenLabs on a separate subscription — script finalized in one tool, pasted into another, generated, downloaded, then imported into the editor. Here the script and the narration live in the same window, so regenerating a line after a small script edit takes seconds instead of a full round trip. Quality-wise it held up: across twelve minutes of continuous narration the delivery stayed natural and consistent, close enough to what I was getting from a dedicated voice platform that keeping both subscriptions stopped making sense. **Analysis.** Upload a document, ask questions about it, get answers grounded in the file rather than in the model’s general knowledge. I generated about 40 images it was same character no flaws. The value isn’t that any single one of these is the absolute best in its category. The thing that won me over wasn’t any single feature — it was that a twelve-minute narration, the visuals that go with it, and the document work behind the script all happened without leaving one tab. That sounds like a small convenience until you’ve done it the other way for months. At roughly $10 a month, this replaced a subscription I was already paying for on its own. Whatever else it does well is, at that point, a bonus rather than a justification. I won’t claim it beats every specialized tool at its own game — I haven’t stress-tested it long enough to say that. It isn’t. The question is whether having image generation, voice, analysis, and multiple chat models in one place is worth more to you than having the single best version of each in four places. For me, building content on a budget, it clearly was. The subscription pays for itself the moment it replaces one other tool. If you’re unsure, try it for a single month and see whether you actually stop opening your other tabs.
